A mere week after earning the #2 spot on Lonely Planet‘s list of top travel destinations worldwide, Detroit has once again landed on a prestigious international list.
On October 31, Architectural Digest released its list of the 20 hottest 2018 travel destinations for design lovers. And once again, it all comes down to Detroit and California — the only two U.S. locales to make the cut.
“Where should you be traveling in 2018,” asks AD‘s Laura Itzkowitz. “We consulted travel experts, got the inside scoop on the hottest new cultural institutions and hotels opening, and scoured the globe for the most exciting emerging destinations. From idyllic islands and remote mountainous regions to bustling metropolises, these 20 destinations are at the top of our list for 2018.”
