The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller 20-City Composite Home Price NSA Index measures the value of residential real estate in the U.S., based on 20 major metropolitan areas including Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland and Denver.
On a yearly basis, home prices grew 6.2% in September (the most recent data available) — the highest rate since July 2014.
